Emiliano Papa is an Argentine former professional footballer who was born on August 19, 1982. He played primarily as a left-back during his career, but he could also play in central defense.
Papa started his career in the youth ranks of Argentinos Juniors, before moving on to play senior football for the same club. He then went on to play for a number of other Argentine clubs, including Boca Juniors, Velez Sarsfield, and Atletico Tucuman.
Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work and tenacity, as well as his tackling ability and his precision crossing from the left flank. He was also capable of scoring goals, and his most memorable moment came in 2014 when he scored a screamer of a goal against River Plate in the Copa Libertadores while playing for Velez Sarsfield.
Papa retired from professional football in 2020, after spending his final season with Arsenal de Sarandi in Argentina. Overall, he had a successful career, winning several domestic titles and representing Argentina at the international level.
